Thirty years ads announced by siteh

The book Red and Black is the collection of advertisements sample which is related to generation who were the founder of modern advertising in Iran. The generation who were leading in their time and creator of some lasting and illustrious propaganda .

The collection of book's ads belongs to the peak and boom period of commercial advertising in Iran . That was a period of prosperity of advertisement in years "1330, 1340 and 1350shamsi (1950_1970). Valid promotional agency of that era included: fakopa, kanune Agahi Ziba, Avazeh, siteh, Artist competition and dexterous designer in which every of them with own method and manner opening a new viewpoints on commercial advertisements arena in Iran .

Why Red and Black

The chosen ads in this book belongs to the period of time in which propaganda were printed in newspaper in two color just Red and Black . choosing this name is also mentioned to its content. In order to completed its content it is explained as following :

Three decade propaganda announced by siteh.the collection of printed ads in this book is related to three period as mentioned before in years 1330,1340 and 1350 Shamsi (1950_1970), in which is related to siteh and Avazeh association ,so in the first step 500of

6,000,000 of artworks was separated.

In the second stage the present number by attempt and support of Mr. Kamran katouzian,Mr.Ebrahim Haqiqi and Mr. Amrollah farhadi was selected for publishing in this book.

There are some obviously convincing reasons for choosing these tasks. Some of these chooses are for their special thought, some for their slogan and some other chooses for their composition, graphic and special design. Sample of such these works is published in this book is related to the special generation of siteh company that some of them are not existence among us , the rest has no activities for years.

Shahin Torkaman hopes that by publishing these valuable works that these precious persons have done the memory and their evocation will remain forever . It took time about 8years for collecting this present book . In the first four years spent for collecting, choosing, selecting photos, reconstructing of them , reforming the chosen and final testing for designing the book.

Shahin Torkaman has collected this book in 1396shamsi (2017_ 2018), and then Siteh publication has published it .

The name siteh was chosen by recommendation of Mahmoud payandeh ( Gilak Persian poet and literate). Siteh is the name of a black and little bird who lives in the north of Iran and in French language siteh means "city".
